Modern slavery statement
Last updated 21 October 2026
Medical Consulting Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and in our supply chain. We are not required to publish a statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, because of our size, but we choose to publish this voluntary statement because we believe it is the right thing to do.
About us
Medical Consulting Ltd (company number 12252304) is a consultant-led ophthalmology service registered with the Care Quality Commission. We provide care for glaucoma and macular conditions, working with GPs, optometrists and the NHS.
Our supply chain
We buy clinical equipment, medicines, consumables, IT services and professional services from established UK suppliers and from NHS-approved frameworks wherever possible.
Our policies
- Recruitment: everyone who works with us has the right to work in the UK confirmed before they start, is paid at least the National Living Wage, and receives a written contract.
- Speaking up: anyone who works with us can raise a concern in confidence, without fear of being treated unfairly for doing so.
- Safeguarding: our safeguarding procedures cover signs of modern slavery and trafficking in the patients we see, and how to report them.
Due diligence
When we choose a new supplier, we consider the risk of modern slavery in their business and expect them to meet the standards in this statement. We will stop working with any supplier who does not.
Training
Staff receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role, which includes recognising and reporting signs of modern slavery.
